Adding Fingerprints to the iPhone 6 Plus
These steps were performed in iOS 8.1.2 on an iPhone 6 Plus. Devices without the touch ID feature are not able to add fingerprints as a security option on their device. Read more about the iPhone 6 on Apple’s website. Step 1: Tap the Settings icon.
Step 2: Scroll down and select the Touch ID & Passcode option.
Step 3: Enter your device passcode, if you have set one.
Step 4: Touch the Add a Fingerprint button under the Fingerprints section of the menu.
Step 5: Place the finger you want to add on the touch ID repeatedly, following the on-screen instructions until you are informed that the fingerprint enrollment is complete.
