The iPhone 5 is a great phone, but one of the more annoying aspects of using it is the amount of space that you have available. Even if you have the iPhone model with the largest amount of storage space, that can quickly be filled with pictures, videos apps and music. It’s all too common to try and install an app or download a video, only to be informed that there isn’t enough space available. You may already know how to delete an app or a single song, but an efficient way to save space is by deleting all of the songs from a single artist.
Delete an Artist on the iPhone 5
This is a great way to free up space on your phone if you have a lot of songs by an artist and you don’t really listen to them anymore. The songs will still be available on your computer or in iTunes for you to put them on your device again later, but will provide you with additional storage space in the mean time. Step 1: Tap the Music icon.
Step 2: Select the Artists option at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Locate the artist whose songs you want to delete from your iPhone. Step 4: Swipe from right to left or left to right on the name of the artist to bring up the red Delete button seen below.
Step 5: Touch the Delete button to remove all of that artist’s songs from your iPhone 5. You can use a similar method to delete videos, too.
