Delete Specific Text Messages on the iPhone 5 Instead of an Entire Conversation

Once you confirm that you want to delete a single text message from your iPhone 5, that text is gone for good. So before you touch that Delete Message button, make sure that you are comfortable with losing the information that was in that text. Once you are sure, you can follow the steps below to remove an individual text message from the Messages app on the iPhone 5.   Step 1: Open the Messages app.

    Step 2: Select the text message conversation containing the individual text message that you want to delete.

  Step 3: Tap and hold your finger on the text message that you want to delete, then touch the More button. That text message will now have a check mark to the left of it.

    Step 4: Touch the trash can icon at the bottom-left corner of the screen.

    Step 5: Touch the Delete Message button at the bottom of the screen to remove the message from your phone.
